2021 Rendezvous Food Vendor Registration

The Rendezvous dates are September 24, 25 & 26, 2021.
September 24 is School & Media Day

It is once again time to reserve your site at the Fort Atkinson Rendezvous. The Rendezvous will again be run by The Fort Atkinson Rendezvous committee, volunteers from the Fort Atkinson community with the assistance of Park Ranger Andy Roach.

The 2021 Rendezvous theme is “Frontier Scout”.

The Friends of Fort Atkinson committee sponsors this as an interpretive event. The fort was active from 1840 thru 1849. Authenticity to this period is of prime importance. If you are challenged on your menu selection you should have documentation that this item was available during “our” time frame. Plastic, “chrome” metal and other non-period items are not allowed. The exception being the paper plates, bowls, plastic silverware, and plastic garbage bags provided for the convenience of the public. We ask that you not bring foam cups/dishware because the broken foam pieces make an unsightly mess. Regarding garbage bags – you are required to have at least two trash receptacles at your establishment. These little things combine to provide a clean and educational event for the public.

We encourage the use of gas fires for preparing food to meet with the increasing regulations set up by the Health Inspector’s office. Authentic appearance is still necessary.

Iowa Sales Tax Permits are required for anyone selling merchandise. Please provide this on the registration form. If you do not have a tax permit, please indicate you need a temporary permit. If you did not report your sales for last year’s Rendezvous, and pay the sales tax due, you will not be allowed to attend this year.

Please complete the attached registration form and return it with your proof of liability insurance, Iowa sales tax number, and check/money order in the amount of $75 made out to Friends of Fort Atkinson. Deadline to secure your desired site is August 1. In the event that you need to cancel, notify us before September 1 so that we may send you a refund. Please note that all Food Vendor sites will be the same as in previous years.

Set up will be allowed at 12:00 pm. Wednesday, September 22, as long as your site is reserved in advance.

Reminder: If you have pets in camp you MUST keep them on a leash and clean up after them.

NOTE: All firewood will be furnished. The DNR will NOT allow anyone to bring their own firewood to the Rendezvous because of the Emerald Ash Borer threat.

**Vehicles need to be cleared out of camp by 8:00p.m Friday & Saturday night and by 7:15am on Saturday morning due to Kids fun Run and the 5K Run**
